Burp Proxy operates as a web proxy server between the browser and target applications. It enables you to intercept, inspect, and modify traffic that passes in both directions. You can even use this to test using HTTPS. This setup is recommended for Akto's local deploy where you can't get traffic through AWS, GCP or gateways.

You can deploy Akto on your machine and download Akto's Burp extension to collect API traffic. This extension is very popular amongst pentesters specially if you are pentesting multiple apps every week.
